Bonsai MCP Connector Terms of Service

1. Relationship with the Bonsai agreement

These Terms supplement the agreement governing the customer's use of Bonsai. If these Terms conflict with the customer's signed Bonsai agreement, the signed agreement will prevail. These Terms govern only the use of the Bonsai MCP Connector.

2. Age, eligibility and authority

The connector is intended exclusively for authorized business users aged 18 or older. By connecting or using it on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to act for that organization and to access the selected Bonsai account, organization, tenant, modules, and data.

3. Territorial availability

The connector may be used only where Bonsai, the selected AI provider, and the applicable services are lawfully available. Availability may depend on country, account plan, workspace settings, and local law.

4. Intellectual property

Bonsai and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the connector, its software, interfaces, documentation, trademarks, and related materials. Subject to the applicable Bonsai agreement, authorized users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the connector for internal business purposes while their access remains active.

Customers retain their existing rights in their business data. No ownership of customer data is transferred to Bonsai, OpenAI, or Anthropic solely through use of the connector.

5. Fees and commercial terms

Access to connector capabilities depends on the customer's Bonsai subscription, enabled modules, permissions, and applicable commercial agreement. The connector does not independently sell subscriptions or digital services through ChatGPT, Codex, or Claude.

Fees, billing, renewal, taxes, and payment terms are governed by the applicable Bonsai commercial agreement.

6. Availability, maintenance and service levels

Bonsai may maintain, update, limit, suspend, or discontinue connector functionality where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, maintenance, provider compatibility, or product changes.

Unless expressly provided in a written customer agreement, this public page does not create a separate service-level commitment or guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Any service levels agreed in writing with the customer remain unaffected.

7. Suspension and termination

Bonsai may suspend or restrict connector access where it reasonably believes that access is unauthorized, insecure, unlawful, abusive, harmful, or inconsistent with these Terms. Where reasonably practicable, Bonsai will notify the affected customer.

Users and workspace administrators may disconnect the connector through the selected AI client. Bonsai may also revoke access when the underlying account, subscription, organization membership, tenant assignment, or authorization ends.

Termination or disconnection does not automatically delete records that Bonsai must retain for security, legal, contractual, or audit purposes.

8. Confidentiality and account security

Confidentiality obligations are governed by the applicable Bonsai agreement. Users must protect credentials and confidential information and must ensure that their organization authorizes the use of the selected AI provider before sending business information through the connector.

Users must not include passwords, tokens, one-time codes, payment data, or unnecessary confidential or sensitive information in prompts or tool arguments.

9. Privacy, customer data and DPA

Bonsai processes personal and business information as described in the Bonsai MCP Connector Privacy Policy and any applicable customer agreement or data-processing agreement.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that its users are authorized to submit and receive the relevant information through the selected AI provider.

10. AI-generated responses and warranty disclaimers

The connector returns authorized Bonsai information to the selected AI provider. The AI provider may summarize, interpret, or combine tool results when generating a response.

Bonsai does not warrant that AI-generated responses will always be complete, accurate, current, or suitable for a particular decision. Users must verify important information in Bonsai and against the underlying business records before relying on it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any express warranties contained in the applicable Bonsai agreement remain unaffected.

11. Limitation of liability

Liability relating to the connector is governed by the applicable Bonsai agreement and mandatory law. These Terms do not create a separate or additional liability cap.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law, including liability for fraud or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnification

These Terms do not create a separate indemnification obligation. Any indemnification obligations are governed exclusively by the applicable written Bonsai agreement.

13. Governing law and disputes

The governing law and dispute-resolution provisions contained in the applicable Bonsai agreement also apply to these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

Bonsai may update these Terms to reflect changes to the connector, supported providers, legal requirements, security measures, or business practices. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Where required by law or the applicable customer agreement, Bonsai will provide additional notice before material changes take effect.

15. Export control and sanctions

Users must comply with applicable export-control, trade-sanctions, and similar laws. The connector may not be used where such use is prohibited by applicable law.
